Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mysite-name's moving and man & van services across England. Please read them carefully before booking any services to ensure a clear understanding of our operational approach, client responsibilities, and the service process.

1. Service Agreement

By booking our moving services—whether through online reservations, phone bookings, or email requests—you agree to these terms. Our moving services operate in compliance with relevant UK transportation regulations and health and safety standards.

We provide professional moving, loading, and man & van services through our trained teams across England.

2. Service Scope and Operational Standards

Our services include residential moving, office relocation, furniture transport, loading assistance, and clearance work. We focus on providing quality service using proper equipment and safe handling techniques.

While we perform services to professional standards, moving outcomes can be influenced by traffic conditions, weather, access limitations, and item characteristics. We provide realistic assessments and use our experience to deliver efficient moving services.

3. Client Responsibilities

To ensure successful service outcomes, clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate address information and access details
  • Ensure safe and clear access routes at both locations
  • Disclose any items requiring special handling
  • Secure pets and young children during the moving process
  • Be available to provide direction and confirm completion

Clear communication about access and specific requirements helps us provide efficient and effective moving services.

4. Property Access and Preparation

Clients are responsible for ensuring our team has safe and unobstructed access to properties. This includes arranging parking permissions, building access codes, and ensuring pathways are clear of obstructions.

We reserve the right to reschedule services if safe access cannot be established or if conditions pose risks to our team or your property.

5. Quotations and Service Confirmation

Quotations are provided based on information provided and are valid for 14 days. Service confirmation requires acceptance of the quotation and any required deposit payment. The team is dispatched once confirmation is received.

Additional items or services requested on moving day may affect the final cost, which will be communicated and approved before proceeding.

6. Service Timing and Duration

Service time estimates are provided based on typical conditions and the information you supply. Actual service duration may vary due to traffic, parking availability, building access, or unforeseen circumstances at either location.

We provide time windows for arrival rather than exact times due to the variable nature of moving services and travel conditions.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services. For bookings exceeding £300, we typically require a 25% deposit to secure the date. Final payment is required before unloading at the destination for account customers, or upon completion for new clients.

Late payments may incur charges and affect future booking availability. We reserve the right to withhold services until outstanding payments are received.

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Services may be rescheduled without charge with 48 hours notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a £50 charge. Same-day cancellations after the team has been dispatched will be charged at 50% of the quoted rate.

We understand that plans change and will always try to accommodate rescheduling requests when possible.

9. Items We Cannot Transport

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport hazardous materials, flammable substances, firearms, ammunition, perishable foods requiring refrigeration, live plants, animals, or currency/bullion unless specifically agreed in advance.

We reserve the right to refuse to transport any items that appear unsafe, improperly packaged, or prohibited by these terms.

10. Client Packaging and Preparation

Clients are responsible for ensuring items are properly prepared for moving. This includes emptying drawers of fragile or heavy contents, disconnecting appliances, and securing loose items. We can provide packing services at additional cost if required.

Proper preparation helps prevent damage and ensures efficient loading and transport.

11. Liability and Insurance

We exercise reasonable care in handling your belongings and maintain public liability insurance. For high-value items, we recommend discussing specific insurance requirements during the quotation process.

Clients are advised to maintain their own insurance coverage for valuable items and to transport small valuables personally.

12. Damage Reporting Procedure

Any concerns about property damage or item condition must be reported before our team leaves the premises and confirmed in writing within 24 hours. We cannot accept liability for damage reported after this period.

We maintain a fair process for investigating and resolving any damage concerns that may arise during our services.

13. Liability Limitations

Our liability for services is limited to the cost of the services provided. We cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage, items not disclosed in the inventory, or issues arising from inadequate client preparation or packaging.

We maintain appropriate business insurance and follow industry best practices in our moving operations.

14. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
